About The Role

Exciting role available within under Markets Front Office Support and Governance (1st line of defence) team

Trusted partner to the Heads of Markets and Markets supervisors on matters of operational, regulatory, conduct risk and governance

Reports to the Senior Desk Risk Manager, Markets Asia

**Role Location**: ANZ Singapore

**Role Type**: Full Time, Permanent

As Associate Director, Markets Desk Risk Governance - Asia, you will support the Heads of Markets across Asia in executing an operating model where the ownership and management of business risks aligns with industry/regulatory expectations around front office supervision, conduct risk and senior management accountability.

About You

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Experience and knowledge of governance, compliance, regulation & operational risk management. Working knowledge of the Singapore regulatory environment is a bonus.

A genuine interest and understanding of financial markets and an ability to identify the current and emerging risks faced by a Markets business.

Demonstrated knowledge of markets products, sales, and trading and the end-to-end markets processes will be appreciated.

Strong stakeholder focus and an ability to build relationships (internal and external), negotiate and influence stakeholders at all seniority levels.

Continuously challenges the status quo by questioning process and procedure and identifying opportunities for improvement, including coaching and training for the Markets desks

Deep problem-solving skills and an ability to exercise sound judgement and maintain an objective perspective based on the facts and circumstances

Strategic operational risk and compliance advice to the business to minimise operational losses and compliance breaches and maintain alignment with risk appetite

Ability to navigate competing priorities, rapid change and work autonomously, whilst having a team mindset to contribute to the success of the global Markets Desk Risk Management team

Leadership of self as part of a highly skilled and engaged Markets Desk Risk Management team, as well as a focus on sharing knowledge and growing people selflessly
