**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- This position is for Office of Admissions and Financial Assistance (OAFA).
- Recruitment of student helpers
- Assist recruitment of student helpers to assist with admission processes during the peak admission period from Jan to May.
- Work with HR on the hiring contracts.
- Ensure there are sufficient student helpers for key OAFA events.
- To recruit reliable and experienced student helpers to man Live Chats on Mondays to Fridays, from 9am to 5pm.
- Processing payment for all the above student helpers on weekly basis.
- Serve as the main liaison officer on admissions and outreach matters with the School of Computing and Information Systems (SCIS).
- Arrange admissions interviews, scholarships interviews and Discovery Day events.
- Handle the admission matters for the Information Systems programme and Computing & Law programme
- Setting up and hosting of virtual Zoom sessions for faculty members to conduct applicant interviews.
- Ensure applicants attempt the tests set by SCIS before their interviews.
- Contacting applicants to inform them of their scholarships outcomes; interview dates/times.
- Handle applicants’ requests to change programme / appeal their admissions decision.
- Handle applicants’ queries.
- Support key outreach events such as the Schools’ Learning Journeys to SMU, school fairs or booths in Junior Colleges and Polytechnics, SMU Poly Day, Scholarship Showcase, SMU IB Day and other signature admissions events.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Diploma or Degree with at least 1 years of customer service experience.
- Good communication skills and enjoy talking to people.
- Meticulous, with strong administrative skills and the ability to multi-task across different projects.
- Proficient with Office tools such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Proficient with technology tools such as Zoom, and willing to learn new systems.
- Strong customer service mindset with the ability to respond to different types of personalities.
- Knowledge of and interest in SMU will be an advantage.
