Job Description

Responsible to support the GCIO in the development of the Group Technology Strategy, by the collection, consolidation of information and development for all the presentation materials around BRTC, Board Meeting, key note speeches and other communication as required. Responsible to lead the implementation of Group Technology strategy, to track and monitor progress, identify risks and opportunities (Program Management Office). Lead the communication/change management activities within Group Technology to support the implementation of the strategy, and the budget process for the Group Technology function and support the GCIO in managing the IT budget of the business units, in liaison with Finance. Support the GCIO in some aspects of the GCIO role.

The incumbent will be expected to:
- Advance implementation of the Group Technology strategy and tactics and monitor progress, identify risks and opportunities.
- Lead the team in communicating the strategy. Prepare information and materials required to support BRTC, Board Meeting and other important events as required. Quality checks of information from the sub-functions in preparation for the IT/Group Technology (consolidated) presentation.
- Identify trends, warning signs or risks and initiate, recommend and suggest corrective Actions. Liaise with Finance, HR, and other functions, as well as the business units to continue improving the IT/Group Technology’s business value. Support the IT/Group Technology budget process in liaison with Finance, gathering highlights necessary for Finance to build budgets, forecasts and BCAs.
- Be aware of the developments within the IT/Group Technology function, identify issues, facilitate and align key topics across the sub-functions, propose options to the GCIO and preparing for decisions. Handle topics which are addressed to the GCIO.
- Consult / provide input for key presentations / meetings that the GCIO is attending, including briefings, follow up actions. Ensure high quality IT/Group Technology Townhall / calls, manage the communication aspect of the GCIO office, preparation of IT/Group Technology meetings, calls, minutes and follow ups.
- Support and develop a culture of quality, service excellence within IT/Group Technology community
