**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop, test, and deploy COBOL programs, ensuring they meet project requirements.

- Perform code reviews, optimizations, and ensure high-quality code standards are maintained.

**Mandatory Skills**:
**COBOL Development**: Strong experience in COBOL programming.

**CICS**: Hands-on experience with Customer Information Control System.

**Linux/Unix/AIX**:Proficiency in working with Linux/Unix/AIX environments.

**VSAM (Virtual Storage Access Method)**:Expertise in working with VSAM files.

**Analytical Skills**:Strong analytical thinking to troubleshoot and solve complex problems.

**English Communication**:Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

**Good to Have Skills**:
**JCL (Job Control Language)**:Experience in JCL for managing batch jobs.

**File Handling/Reports**:Ability to manage files and generate reports.

**Database/DB2/Oracle**:Knowledge of database systems such as DB2 and Oracle.

**CD (Continuous Deployment)**:Familiarity with continuous deployment processes.

**SSH (Secure Shell)**:Working knowledge of SSH for secure remote access **.**

**Tools (TWS/Connectivity, etc.)**:Experience with scheduling tools like TWS and other connectivity tools.

**Preferred Experience**:

- Strong development background with experience in re-platforming legacy systems.
- Experience with interface setup and integration between different systems.
- Familiarity with CICD tools and release management processes.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proactive in identifying areas for improvement and optimization in existing processes.

**Education and Certifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications in COBOL, CICD, or related technologies are a plus.
