A software developer role is available for an AS400 RPG ILE programmer with expertise in core banking systems.

Roles & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Performing requirement analysis and impact assessment to systems.
  • Developing and enhancing programs for core banking applications.
  • Implementing solutions that align with the organization's business objectives.
  • Conducting and supporting testing of applications.
  • Reviewing and critically assessing codes to ensure adherence to good programming practice, security guidelines.
  • Working with IT, operations, and business partners proactively, and contributing constructive inputs.
  • Preparing and coordinating with related teams for production preparation and implementation.
  • Preparing necessary documentations to align with development methodology framework.
  • Managing deliverables on timely basis.
  • Providing post-implementation support.
  • Working effectively with IT and business partners in various stages of system development life cycle.

Requirements/Education

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • At least 6 years' relevant experience preferably in a finance institution.
  • Background knowledge of Banking Technology (Customers, Deposit, Loans) of Core Banking.
  • Ability to cross learn new product domain knowledge.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience. Silverlake Banking system knowledge is an added advantage.
  • Good analytical skills and agile in handling multiple streams of demands from business.
  • Experience in dealing with different teams with diverse background/units.
  • Knowledge of waterfall and agile development management model, challenge the normal.
  • Team player and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Can work independently and proactively.
  • Good programming skills.
  • Clear communication and concise documentation skills.
