
Import Export Coordinator

You will be working as an Import Operations Executive at Falcon Papers & Plastics, a company known for its expertise in managing high volumes of materials across various markets. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee and streamline the import processes by ensuring compliance with customs regulations, coordinating shipments efficiently, and meticulously handling all documentation. This role demands close collaboration with suppliers, shipping agents, and internal stakeholders to ensure the smooth flow of international shipments and maintain a seamless supply chain.Key Responsibilities:- Coordinating and managing the importation of goods to ensure timely and efficient shipment processing.- Ensuring strict compliance with customs regulations and international trade laws.- Preparing, reviewing, and processing all import documentation with accuracy and completeness.- Communicating effectively with freight forwarders, customs brokers, suppliers, and transporters to address issues and prevent delays.- Monitoring shipment status, tracking timelines, and providing regular updates to relevant stakeholders.- Maintaining accurate records of all import transactions and documentation for audits and inspections.- Negotiating rates and terms with logistics partners and suppliers to optimize costs.- Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.- Providing support to other departments on import-related queries and compliance matters.- Staying updated with the latest customs and regulatory changes affecting import operations.Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Logistics, or a related field.- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in import operations, supply chain, or logistics roles.- Solid knowledge of international import regulations, customs compliance, and documentation requirements.- Proven ability to manage multiple shipments and tasks efficiently.- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.- High attention to detail and accuracy in handling documentation and data.- Proficiency with import management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).- Strong organizational and analytical skills.- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Preferred Skills:- Experience with logistics management systems or ERP software.- Knowledge of global trade agreements and regulations.- Certifications in import-export operations or customs compliance (e.g., Certified Customs Specialist) are a plus.- Familiarity with international shipping routes, especially.,
