To support our growth and ensure operational excellence in the region, we are looking for a highly experienced Director of Operations – APAC to be based in Singapore .
Role Overview:
As the Director of Operations – APAC , you will lead and oversee all regional operations including
production, procurement, supply chain, logistics, and quality control . You will serve as the strategic and executional point of contact for our manufacturing and EMS partners in the region, ensuring seamless collaboration, Swiss-level quality, and timely deliveries. In addition, you will also oversee our OSAT partners, who are responsible for production our proprietary PPG technology.
This is a senior leadership role , reporting to the Company COO, that requires deep operational know-how , a hands-on mindset , and fluent command of English and Mandarin Chinese . The ideal candidate has proven experience in consumer electronics or wearables , knows how to scale operations without reinventing the wheel, and brings a strong quality-centric culture to the table.
Key Responsibilities:
Regional Operations Leadership : Own and lead APAC operations including manufacturing, procurement, logistics, and QA/QC
EMS & OSAT & Supplier Management : Coordinate and manage relationships with production partners and component suppliers (China, Singapore, Malaysia, etc.)
SLA & Quality Agreement Negotiation : Reenforce, negotiate Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Quality Agreements with manufacturing partners and suppliers
Quality First : Enforce Swiss-quality standards across all operational functions, from incoming material checks to final product audits
Process Execution, Not Reinvention : Adapt and apply existing best practices and processes, avoid building from scratch unless strictly necessary
Cross-functional Coordination : Collaborate with HQ teams in Switzerland (management, engineering, supply chain, finance, etc.) to ensure aligned execution
Scalability & Risk Mitigation : Prepare operations for mass scale, while proactively identifying risks and bottlenecks
KPI Monitoring & Reporting : Establish performance indicators and report regularly to the COO and global leadership
Requirements:
10+ years of experience in operations leadership roles in consumer electronics, wearables, or medical devices
Deep understanding of EMS & OSAT management, procurement processes, production ramp-up , and logistics in Asia
Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written) – non-negotiable. Malay being a strong plus
Proven ability to work across cultures and geographies (China, Malaysia, Singapore, Switzerland)
Solid track record of applying and adapting operational frameworks , not just inventing them
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills: capable of building, motivating, and aligning regional teams and partners
Detail-oriented, hands-on, pragmatic, quality-first mindset/obsession
Knowledge of ISO standards, CE/FCC compliance, and quality systems is non-negotiable
Based in Singapore
