Job Title: IT Operations Director

Job Description

The role of the IT Operations Director is to oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT systems and equipment in the data center. This includes ensuring that all IT equipment is properly maintained, repaired, and replaced as needed. The IT Operations Director will also be responsible for managing the team of IT staff who support the operation of these systems.

In addition to managing the IT staff, the IT Operations Director will be responsible for implementing policies and procedures to ensure that IT operations are conducted in a safe and efficient manner. This may include developing and implementing backup and disaster recovery plans, as well as ensuring that all IT systems and equipment are properly secured.

The IT Operations Director will also be responsible for monitoring network equipment and system performance, and reporting any abnormal occurrences or system problems to the relevant teams.

Finally, the IT Operations Director will be responsible for ensuring that all IT assets are properly disposed of when no longer needed, and that all IT waste is properly recycled.


Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree in Information Technology or related field
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in IT operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Strong working knowledge of IBM (AS400) operations and processing of Start-of-Day and End-Of Day
  • Able to work in shift
  • Knowledge of IT operations automation tools, Message Queues (MQ), Windows and Active Directory
