Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a
Service Engineer, located in Singapore . The Service Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel engines and related equipment, conducting diagnostics and troubleshooting issues, performing routine service checks, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The role involves coordinating with clients to understand their specific needs and providing tailored solutions. The Service Engineer will also be expected to stay updated with the latest industry developments through regular training.
Qualifications
Proficiency in maintaining and repairing diesel engines and related equipment.
Skills in diagnostics, troubleshooting, and conducting routine service checks.
Knowledge of safety and quality standards in heavy engineering.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.
Ability to work on-site in Singapore and flexibility to travel as needed.
Relevant technical certifications or a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is a plus.
Experience in the Marine, Industrial, or Power Generation sectors is beneficial.
We are urgently looking for an experienced Service Engineer to strengthen our Singapore operations.
The Role:
The Service Engineer will be responsible for the inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of marine diesel engines installed on a wide range of vessels.
This role requires a hands-on professional with strong technical expertise and the ability to work independently in shipyard and field environments.
Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and major overhauls of marine diesel engines.
• Diagnose faults and perform corrective maintenance in line with OEM standards.
• Support commissioning of engines and onboard marine equipment for new-build and refit projects.
• Coordinate with clients, shipyards, and OEM partners to ensure timely service delivery.
• Prepare detailed service reports and recommend spare parts and preventive actions.
• Assist with warranty inspections and technical investigations.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Marine Engineering or equivalent trade qualification.
• 3–7 years hands-on experience in servicing and overhauling marine diesel engines (medium speed & high speed).
• Strong knowledge of brands such as Hyundai, MAN, MTU, Mercury, John Deere, Cummins, Volvo Penta, Yanmar, or equivalent.
• Must already hold a valid Singapore Work Permit/PR (mandatory).
