Senior Quantity Surveyor
to join our team based at Metropolis, Buona Vista, Singapore.
Overall Job Purpose
Carrying out Remeasurement Quantity verifications against IFC drawings submitted by subcontractors
Managing change work, including verification of miscellaneous works such as reimbursable, custom clearance documents (Chinese/Portuguese, others)
Preparing monthly cost forecasts based on WCR/MTO versus contractual values
Tracking SI / CR logs, estimating related cost impacts, and notifying the Project Management Team (PMT)
Negotiating with subcontractors and assisting Lead QS in final account close-out
Material reconciliation against issued and as-built quantities
Safeguarding project close-out documents in designated repositories
Relationship Responsibilities
Reporting to Lead QS and Head of Department
Coordinating with subcontractors and the construction team
Engaging with engineering, discipline leads, superintendents, and quality managers for project updates
Core Responsibilities
Understanding subcontract agreement points related to costs and remeasurement mechanisms
Applying knowledge of measurement methods, pricing schedules, and support service rates per contract guidelines
Utilizing Excel formulas effectively for computations and document analysis
Updating progress and change logs, and communicating with relevant teams
Verifying submitted quantities and documents, identifying discrepancies, and notifying Lead QS
Assessing costs of T&M works and verifying timesheets with subcontractors
Reconciliation of materials issued versus as-built quantities and cost implications
Assisting in final closure accounts and document safekeeping
Work Environment and Skills
Working under general supervision, performing variable tasks
Collaborating closely with teams and subcontractors
Handling high-volume workloads during peak periods
Strong negotiation skills, with a focus on contractual clauses and T&Cs
