Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):
Draft, review and update company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations across jurisdictions, including Australia, Singapore, UAE, Cyprus etc.
Draft, review and negotiate various commercial contracts (e.g. client trading agreement, service provider agreement, share sale agreement, distribution agreement).
Research laws and regulations related to the brokerage licences across jurisdictions to ensure the company’s operation, expansion and business products comply with all relevant laws and regulations.
Liaise with regulatory authority and corporate services provider on matters relevant to our brokerage license in multiple jurisdictions.
Ensure regulated entities meet all reporting obligations and maintain compliance with applicable regulations.
Requirements:
Possess at least a bachelor’s degree in law.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing lawyer or in an in-house legal or compliance role (prior experience in a brokerage firm, fintech, or financial institution is preferred).
Proficient in English and Mandarin (reading, speaking and writing) to liaise with HK & CN counterparts.
Excellent analytical skills with superior attention to detail to identify and correct risky practices.
Adaptable to fluid and fast-paced working environment.
