We are currently seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to support the growth of our customer base in the Asia Pacific region. The role involves contributing value in areas such as due diligence, safety, risk assessments, and corporate responsibility related to earth sciences. As a Geotechnical Engineer at Seequent, you will engage face-to-face with customers to understand their challenges and provide solutions that enhance their business. From assisting new customers in the pre-purchase stage to supporting experienced users with technical expertise, training, and project assistance, your role is crucial in ensuring that customers feel valued and well-supported. By being both an investigator and a problem solver, you will deliver sales support and technical guidance through integrated solutions awareness, analysis, and prompt response times. This role is part of the global Technical Services team, which focuses on understanding the needs of our global clients across different time zones. Travel may be required to provide sales support and training, with approximately 10-20% of your time spent in India and other parts of Asia Pacific. The ideal candidate for this role is hands-on, task-oriented, customer-focused, and possesses in-depth technical knowledge, quick response times, analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and business acumen. Significant travel is expected to maintain a strong market presence and support the growth of our Geotechnical solutions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and enthusiastic team.Key Responsibilities:- Share expert-level product knowledge, workflows, and integrated solutions with new and existing users in the civil and mining sector.- Collaborate with sales teams to advance opportunities by conducting product demonstrations, understanding client workflows, setting up trials, and creating implementation plans.- Act as the regional technical advocate for Seequent's geotechnical portfolio through industry engagement and internal training.- Utilize Seequent's information platforms to gain insights into clients" operations and provide targeted customer support.- Provide remote technical support, guidance, and tailored solutions for complex geotechnical challenges.- Conduct various user support interactions such as face-to-face meetings, web sessions, and email support.- Proactively engage with clients to promote software upgrades and embed new features in their workflows.- Maintain client accounts accurately in CRM systems and deliver regular training sessions on Seequent's Geotechnical products.- Monitor client satisfaction levels and advocate for software enhancements based on user needs and industry trends.Requirements:Essential:- University Degree in Geotechnical Engineering / Engineering Geology, BSc or MSc- 5+ years of experience in geotechnical investigations, slope stability, geotechnical modelling, and/or conceptual site models.- Fluent English communication skills at a technical and professional level.- Strong skills in geotechnical modelling software.Preference:- Experience in a large civil consultancy or ground engineering services firm.- Understanding of geological principles and experience integrating geological modelling with geotechnical analysis.- Operational experience in civil/mining engineering projects.- Experience working in India and/or South East Asia.- Proficiency in Geostudio and/or PLAXIS.Our Commitment to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion:At Seequent, we value the uniqueness of each individual and are committed to inclusiveness, equity, and accessibility.
