Job Responsibilities
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and corporate operating procedures and policies.
Manage the team in all necessary duties to develop and deliver comprehensive design and construction contracts.
Deliver project cost reporting details for the Director
Provide strong contractual leadership to the Contracts team
Prepare cost planning packs for the purpose of capital funding projects
Support the implementation of procurement strategies within the Department
Plan and manage the workload of the Department
Provide guidance and mentor more junior members of the Department
Job Requirements
Education & Certification
Bachelor Degree in relevant field
Experience
At least 10 years of working experience with minimum 6 years of managing people
Other Prerequisites
Detailed knowledge and understanding of construction procurement processes with acute commercial awareness
Ability to work with cross-functional teams and supply chain partners, ensuring awareness of project commercial and contractual constraints.
Advise on and develop existing departmental standard operating procedures
Co-ordinate members of both the owner and supplier teams to ensure project specific tasks are undertaken timeously.
Proficiency in MS Office
Experience in Ariba, Primavera and Sage based software would be an advantage
