Qualification criteria

· University degree, preferably in Business related field (master's degree preferred)

· Proficiency in English

· 7+ years of professional experience, whereof 3+ years in commodity Risk Management

· International experience from multinational company

· Advanced level of MS Office Suite

Main purpose of the job

The Global Procurement Lead for Risk Management designs and implements a global risk management framework with a focus on price volatility, supplier stability, and product/service availability. The Commodity Risk Manager is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and managing commodity price risks inherent in our business operations. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to mitigate risks associated with fluctuations in commodity prices, ensuring that the company can achieve its financial objectives while minimizing exposure to market volatility. They are responsible for ensuring adherence to governance, policies, and processes, protecting company assets and reputation by following applicable legislation. They advocate sustainable procurement and innovation strategies, contribute to category strategies, and represent procurement in committees. Building strong stakeholder relationships, managing supplier partnerships, and tracking plans and budgets are also part of their role.

Accountabilities and deliverables

1. Develop and implement commodity risk management strategies in alignment with the company's overall risk management framework..

2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Procurement, Finance, and Operations to identify and assess commodity risks across the organization.

3. Self-manage adherence to defined governance, policies and processes.

4. Protect all company's assets by putting in place internal control system and procedures.

5. Protect reputation of Asahi by following applicable legislation.

6. Recommend appropriate hedging strategies to mitigate commodity price risks, considering factors such as market conditions, regulatory requirements, and cost implications.

7. Support the complete definition, implementation and successful execution of category strategies.

8. Represent Procurement in relevant committees and governance bodies.

9. Build and enhance strong stakeholder relationships across all agenda specific procurement activities.

10. Develop and maintain strong partnership with suppliers focusing on agenda-specific aspects such as performance and quality assurance.

11. Manage and track agenda specific plans and budgets including objectives, key value drivers and related KPIs.

12. Design and implement global Risk management framework focusing on extended agenda: price volatility, supplier stability, and product or service availability.

13. Support Procurement operational excellence, including its processes and systems.

14. Support continuous improvement of Procurement capabilities and practices in alignment with the overall Asahi strategy and external benchmarks.

15. Create Strategic data driven insights for Procurement.

16. Develop, establish and track KPIs specifically tailored to measure and evaluate the performance of the procurement function.
