Overview Senior Principal Scientist, Autonomous Systems and Robotics, ARTC We are looking for a highly motivated and accomplished Senior Principal Scientist with expertise and proven track record in leading large R&D programs in Machine learning, Embodied AI and smart robotics to join our cutting-edge team. In this role, you will play a key R&D leadership role in charting and steering the R&D directions in EAI robotics to create deployable solutions to problems faced by manufacturing industry. Key Responsibilities Develop R&D proposals and secure competitive funding in the areas of Embodied AI, robotics, and humanoids Lead research in Embodied AI Robotics for manufacturing. Establish and grow a high-performing research team through close collaboration with local and international IHLs, Mentor RSEs and PhD students, and build deep capabilities in sensorimotor learning, adaptive control, and AI-robotics integration. Drive to the continuous refinement of S&A roadmap in embodied AI robotics research, technology, and translation to create needle-moving impact on Singapore manufacturing Requirements PhD in AI, Robotics, Mechatronics, Control, and Computer engineering Minimum years of experiences: more than 10 years, with track record of securing, leading and delivering large competitive funded R&D programs, and/or large industry collaboration programs Experience in machine learning, sensor fusion, hardware/software integration, with a strong portfolio of relevant projects. Deep understanding of robot perception, control, and learning, with an emphasis on closed-loop intelligent behaviours. Experience with embodied agents in simulation and/or physical robot platforms, humanoid systems is a plus. Knowledge of deep learning frameworks for building and training deep learning models. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and present technical findings The above eligibility criteria are not exhaustive.
