Job Responsibilities
Handle main and ad-hoc payroll runs, including salary payments, bonuses, festive advances, and other payments
Perform data verification, prepare and consolidate payroll reports, and seek approvals for payments
Process payroll for at least two cycles per month, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines
Reconcile internal and external interfaces against payroll reports (e.g., medical benefits system, deductions) to ensure accurate payouts
Manage claims for overtime, allowances, and reimbursement processes such as government-paid leave claims (e.g., maternity, paternity, childcare)
Process claims via government portals and ensure accurate and timely journal postings
Ensure timely submission of CPF contributions, annual tax reporting, IR21 processing, and other statutory filings
Liaise with stakeholders for personal tax reporting and submission within set deadlines
Provide support for payroll audits by preparing documents for auditors and addressing audit queries
Ensure payroll-related figures and key personnel remuneration are accurately reported
Perform payroll-related reconciliations such as bank reconciliations, accruals (e.g., CPF, bonuses, leave), and reclassification where required
Generate monthly and ad-hoc payroll reports with detailed breakdowns
Utilize HR and payroll systems such as Workday, Excelity and SuccessFactors for compensation changes and payroll processes
Ensure accurate data interfacing between systems and troubleshoot payroll-related issues with stakeholders
Coordinate and perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system enhancements and ensure operational excellence
Manage end-to-end secondment billing, including reconciliation, verification, and ensuring timely payment
Provide necessary information to Finance and post relevant journals for external organization payments
Work as a rover, moving between various sites to manage payroll operations effectively
Address site-specific payroll tasks and ensure consistency in practices across locations
Support the HR team in implementing policies and programs to ensure smooth execution.
Handle any other payroll-related matters or ad-hoc tasks as directed in writing by the organization
Job Requirements
Diploma in Human Resources or a relevant discipline with a minimum of 5 years of payroll experience
Strong understanding of payroll policies, applicable laws, and regulatory requirements
Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables)
Experience with HRIS systems such as Workday, SuccessFactors, Excelity, or Ceridian
Meticulous with attention to detail and accuracy
Good communication and interpersonal skills
A team player with a cheerful personality and a positive attitude
Quick learner with strong adaptability and the ability to pick up new skills
Effective multitasking and time management skills, able to handle a high volume of work and prioritize tasks
Willingness to travel between sites as required to support payroll operations in a rover role.
Maintains confidentiality and sensitivity in managing data and work-related matters
