Job description
Summary:
This position supports the sales team on the RFQ and supplier management.
A key role is to assist the Supply Chain Manager in accomplishing the purchasing timeline and cost reductions.
Key Responsibilities:
Adopt selection processes and criteria with sellers to ensure fair competition.
Gather data on potential sellers that fulfil procurement requirements.
Generate list of preferred sellers in accordance with organisation’s selection processes.
Support negotiation efforts with information on agreed contract terms and conditions with preferred sellers.
Verify quotations received from Suppliers, ensure information like Price, MOQ, Validity, Delivery, quote date and remarks are available.
Update pertinent information into the SMM share point / Shared drive and notify all sales personnel on the quotation received.
Manage and co-ordinate samples request from all Departments.
Obtain samples from suppliers with supporting documents like COC, Material Cert, Plating Cert and measurement reports.
Responsible for the control of relevant controlled documents.
Assist the Supply Chain Manager in meeting the FTG Saving Targets.
To perform other tasks as may be assigned by the Supply Chain Manager.
Requirements:
Minimum: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Teamwork within team and across departments
Effective time and stress management.
Multi-tasking
Negotiation skills
Ability to use MS office, Outlook, Word and Excel.
Good command of Mandarin and English in both writing and oral (may need to handle Mandarin speaking suppliers)
Experience in sourcing mechanical parts, hardware and fasteners will be an added advantage
