Leland Saylor Associates, a nationally recognized construction consulting firm, specializes in construction management, cost management, project controls, and value management. We are privileged to advise on some of the most significant and technically challenging projects in the country, including critical infrastructure, transit, aviation, public works, and water/wastewater projects.We are currently looking for Senior Civil Cost and Schedule Specialists to join our team and contribute to prestigious projects in the Western U.S. As part of this role, you will be responsible for conducting detailed cost assessments for civil construction projects.In this position, your daily duties will include providing specialized Preconstruction and Post-Contract support for large-scale civil works and transit infrastructure projects. You will be tasked with conducting thorough cost estimation and reviews for civil construction projects, starting from the planning and design phases through to the construction phase. Additionally, you will handle project management and construction management tasks, such as constructability and risk assessment, while collaborating with project teams to understand technical requirements and specifications. Working closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors, you will gather essential information for precise cost evaluations and project execution. Your role will also involve supporting the development of various cost estimating deliverables throughout the construction lifecycle.The ideal candidate should possess a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related construction field, along with at least 15 years of experience in providing cost estimating support for heavy civil construction projects, including transportation and water infrastructure. Strong skills in cost analysis, change order evaluation, and negotiation are essential. Candidates must have a work visa or US citizenship, with the possibility of H1 sponsorship. Proficiency in electronic takeoff software, particularly HCSS, is required, while proficiency in Primavera P6 is considered a plus.The compensation for this position ranges from $105.00 to $140.00 per hour, with both Part-Time and Full-Time positions available.
