
A Line Cook Position

Be part of a modern Australian barbecue restaurant in Singapore's Dempsey Hill serving wood-fired dishes and boutique wines. As a Barbecue Chef, you will work in an open kitchen concept with custom equipment to prepare ingredients for senior chefs and maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
Job Responsibilities:
- Report to the Section Chef and other senior positions.
- Ensure all tasks are executed up to standard.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, sanitation, and cleanliness in all kitchen areas.
- Prepare ingredients for senior chefs and ensure prep is up to standard.
- Measure dish ingredients and portion sizes accurately.
- Dealing with ordering and stock rotation.
- Prepare mis en place sheets for briefing as per instructions by senior chefs.
- Minimise food wastage.
- Constantly upgrade culinary skills through training and/or self-study.
- Ad hoc duties as assigned by Superior.
- Comply at all times with the Staff Code of Conduct.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
- No minimum certification required.
- Experience with kitchen equipment.
- Understand basic food hygiene practices and health and safety.
- Able to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
- Be punctual and well-disciplined.
- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- 5-day work week (44 hours).
