Description Principal Consultant - APAC Gas and LNG Location: Singapore (Hybrid) |Employment type: Full time Wood Mackenzie is the global data and analytics business for the renewables, energy, and natural resources industries. Position Overview As a Principal Consultant in the APAC Gas and LNG Consulting team, you will play a key role in our growing Asian consulting practice. You will be involved in all aspects of the consulting process: shaping the opportunity, performing the analysis, managing the project, and working closely with senior clients and Wood Mackenzie experts to develop insights that support strategic decisions. Key Responsibilities Manage and execute complex consulting projects by setting up detailed project plans and working with a team to deliver milestones on time and within budget. Serve as the primary point of contact with key client stakeholders during project delivery (status calls, presentations). Train, coach, and mentor junior consultants to deliver high‐quality work and build a bench of future industry leaders. Engage clients to identify potential business opportunities and translate open‐ended inquiries into formal project proposals. Maintain a current and deep understanding of the gas and LNG sector in the Asia Pacific region, and discuss recent events and implications with clients and colleagues. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, statistics, engineering, or a related discipline; master's and/or MBA preferred. 8+ years of experience in a strategic or commercial industry role, preferably in energy‐focused consulting with focus on gas and LNG. Experience building and maintaining client relationships and managing project workflows in a Project Manager role. Strong understanding of the gas/LNG and wider energy value chain, including implications of the energy transition. Excellent presentation skills and ability to present strategic insights to senior management.
