ThinkPlace Singapore is looking for highly motivated, empathetic, entrepreneurial, and proficient design practitioners to join our leadership team as Principal Consultant

You believe in delivering social and public impact by taking an open, human-centred, collaborative and agile approach. As a principal consultant, you will work alongside and partner C-suite representatives from the public, private and NGO sectors to tackle complex problems and achieve positive impact and new value. You will be part of a pre-eminent team, with a can-do attitude. You’re friendly and approachable. Hierarchies are not what you are most concerned about - you roll up your sleeves and lead from the front, while guiding the team in projects and workshops.

We are not looking for traditional consultants. We want talented co-designers, who ally with our clients to facilitate change. At the end of the day, your satisfaction comes from contributing towards an effective, efficient yet empathetic and ethical outcome when we problem solve with our clients.

**Your background**

**Digital **design and transformation**:you have a background in digital strategy, UX/UI and open innovation. You have a broad understanding of emerging technologies (particularly AI and data analytics) and how they can be applied to customer journeys, processes and ecosystems to create value for people.

**Complex, multi-stakeholder codesign facilitation**:you have led the facilitation of high profile codesign processes, including creating and leading codesign workshops for government, industry and community (and sometimes all three at once). You have pushed boundaries in citizen engagement and cross-sectoral innovation.

**Sustainability and circularity**:you have a background in environmental sustainability, resource circularity and sustainability reporting. You have spearheaded design-led innovation projects at a sectoral, firm or consumer level, to design sustainability solutions for government or industry clients.

**Human-centred design and innovation consulting for development**: you have experience leading large complex projects for donor-funded projects in our region. You are able to use human-centred design methods, along with behaviour change methodologies, to design innovation solutions for communities around Asia. Domains we commonly work in include health, nutrition and financial services.

**What is the Principal Consultant role?**:
As a Principal Consultant, you will lead design consulting projects, as a capable and proficient design practitioner leading stunning, high profile work, and leading project teams. You will deliver design artefacts at a quality and within deadlines agreed with the relevant client.

You will lead client engagement on projects, managing key relationships with senior client representatives (including both senior public servants, C-suite representatives from the private sector, and heads of NGOs).

**What we need you to demonstrate**:

- You are highly skilled in facilitating dialectic conversations. You are a systems thinker, connector, and catalyst in framing problems and connecting seemingly opposing views into perspectives for the stakeholders. Involved. You can facilitate sessions with Ministers and Board Members on the one hand, and at the community level, including potentially marginalised groups.
- You’re able to lead complex research efforts (including ethnography) and can effectively synthesise compelling and unique insight
