Our company is a leader in AI Mental Health. We are looking for a researcher to join our team and help us design clinical-grade therapeutic frameworks, build evaluation standards, and contribute to pilot deployments of our AI therapy system.
This position offers a unique opportunity to combine your academic or clinical background in mental health with cutting-edge AI technologies, contributing to a new frontier in digital healthcare.
We are seeking a highly skilled Research Intern who will work closely with AI engineers and researchers. The successful candidate will have a background in clinical psychology or psychotherapy and will be able to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
The Research Intern will be responsible for designing dialogue structures, clinical workflows, and outcome evaluation criteria in alignment with established psychotherapy practices. They will also be involved in organizing and structuring key psychotherapy models and methodologies, and defining appropriate contexts for their application in AI dialogue systems.
In addition, the Research Intern will advise on therapeutic prompt design and response strategy, and support experimental launches of the AI therapy system.
Key responsibilities include:
- Therapy Workflow & Evaluation Design: Collaborate with AI developers to co-design dialogue structures, clinical workflows, and outcome evaluation criteria.
- Theory Curation & Integration: Organize and structure key psychotherapy models and methodologies, and define appropriate contexts for their application in AI dialogue systems.
- Dialogue Strategy & Prompt Engineering Support: Advise on therapeutic prompt design and response strategy.
- Pilot Deployment & Research Collaboration: Support experimental launches of the AI therapy system, engage with external institutions, and contribute to comparative studies between AI and human-led therapy.
- AI Training Support: Assist in the preparation of training data, including real-case material, taxonomy definition, and intent classification.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Master's student or graduate degree in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counselling, or Mental Health Sciences. Direct clinical therapy experience will be given priority.
Certifications such as recognized certification in psychotherapy or counselling (e.g., APA) are preferred. You will also need to have a strong understanding of therapeutic modalities such as CBT, ACT, psychodynamic therapy, and familiarity with mental health assessment tools.
We are passionate about the intersection of psychology and technology, and we believe that this role would be an excellent fit for someone who is willing to work in interdisciplinary teams with AI engineers and product designers.
