About the Sales Engineer Role:
An electronic trading company is looking for a Sales Engineer to be the key point of contact for clients, answering queries, providing technical advice and demonstrating how to use new products and/or services.
Key Responsibilities:
Interact with customers to understand their requirements, provide technical solutions, and address inquiries related to power supply products. This involves effective communication and the ability to tailor technical information to suit different audiences.
Conduct product demonstrations to showcase the features and benefits of solutions. Provide training to customers and internal sales teams on the technical aspects of power supplies.
Collaborate with customers and internal teams to develop customized solutions that meet specific requirements. This may involve product customization, system integration, and troubleshooting.
Assist the sales team in preparing technical proposals, quotations, and presentations for customers. Provide technical support during the sales process to address customer concerns and objections.
Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in the power supply market. Use market insights to identify new business opportunities and potential areas for product improvement.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and partners. Act as a trusted advisor to customers, providing technical expertise and guidance throughout the sales cycle.
Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing post-sales issues, providing technical support, and facilitating product returns or exchanges when necessary.
To succeed as the Sales Engineer, you will need to have in-depth technical and product knowledge combined with the ability to understand complex business systems — and just as importantly, people skills.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or relevant discipline.
Minimum of 3 years of sales experience within the electronic trading environment.
Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service, and sales skills.
The ability to relate technical information to non-technical customers.
Excellent technical and problem-solving skills.
Good leadership and teamwork skills.
Self-driven, highly motivated, and demonstrate initiative.
