A global multi-strategy hedge fund is seeking to add a credit investor to run a high-conviction, fundamental credit book with full investment discretion. The mandate is broad and flexible, focused on generating strong risk‐adjusted returns through bottom‐up, catalyst‐driven opportunities across the full credit spectrum. Responsibilities Build and actively manage a concentrated credit portfolio. Generate alpha via long/short performing credit, stressed, distressed and special situation debt, capital structure arbitrage and event‐driven trades, structured credit where appropriate, and opportunistic use of credit derivatives, loans, post‐reorg equity and rescue financings. Take material single‐name risk where conviction and asymmetric payoff exist. Perform in‐depth fundamental research: financial modeling, covenant review, recovery analysis, and legal/process edge. Source ideas and flow through sell‐side desks, expert networks, advisors, and direct relationships. Collaborate with the broader platform on risk, research, and execution while retaining full autonomy over positioning. Regularly present performance, risk, and new ideas to senior management and risk teams. Skills and Qualifications 5+ years of direct credit investing experience with verifiable live track record at a top tier hedge fund or credit pod at a multi‐manager platform. Broad toolkit covering multiple parts of the credit universe. Strong relationships across investment banking distressed / high‐yield trading desks and the restructuring community. Excellent forensic accounting and analytical skills. Bachelor's degree from a leading university; CFA, law degree, or accounting background helpful but not required. Coding / quantitative skills (Python, SQL, etc.) are a plus but not mandatory. #J-18808-Ljbffr
