Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Tunnel Construction Manager to oversee the construction of tunnels in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a team of workers, ensuring that all works are carried out safely and efficiently.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate activities of tunnel construction crew: Ensure that all tunnel construction activities are carried out according to schedule and relevant regulations.
  • Determine spacing, alignment, and depth of blast holes: Determine the optimal spacing, alignment, and depth of blast holes to ensure safe and efficient excavation.
  • Assist engineers in carrying out works: Assist engineers in carrying out assigned works, including ensuring that works are carried out to schedule and relevant regulations.
  • Manage site workers: Manage and supervise site workers for each shift, ensuring that they are working safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure completion of work: Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with the main contractor's program and requirements, with no accidents or incidents.
  • Troubleshoot any issues that arise during construction and submit reports as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in supervision of temporary works and underground structure or tunnelling: Candidates must have at least 5 years' experience in supervising temporary works and underground structure or tunnelling.
  • Hands-on training: Must know how to do hands-on training to erect segment, ring building etc.
  • Shift work: Able to do shift work (day and night shift).
