We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Reinsurance Claims Professional to join our team.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned claims professional to manage the property and engineering claims within our reinsurance portfolio. Reporting to the Head of Department, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end process of reinsurance claims, including claim intake, investigation, evaluation, and settlement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the claims team, ensuring that all claims are handled in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into claims, gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses as necessary.
  • Evaluate complex claims, making sound decisions based on data and industry best practices.
  • Negotiate settlements with claimants and brokers, achieving fair and timely resolutions while minimizing financial impact.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of 8 years' experience in reinsurance claims.
  • Strong understanding of the reinsurance market and its nuances.
  • Proficiency in claim processing systems, including SAP.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate complex claims and make sound decisions.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented approach, with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
