Key Responsibilities Read and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Cut, shape, and dress stones using chisels, hammers, grinders, or saws. Lay and align stones with mortar or other bonding materials to construct walls, arches, columns, and facades. Repair or restore damaged stonework in existing buildings or monuments. Prepare and mix mortar or cement for fixing and pointing stone joints. Install stone veneers, claddings, tiles, or decorative stonework.
