Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Laboratory Assistant.

The successful candidate will assist research scientists in designing, planning, and executing experiments and formulation development for client-based projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in designing and planning laboratory tests and experiments
  • Monitor and document ongoing laboratory tests and experiments, reporting results and observations accurately
  • Compile experimental data and prepare technical documentation, reports, and records
  • Support drafting and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to laboratory activities
  • Maintain laboratory records, manage chemical and consumable inventory, and ensure cleanliness and organisation of formulation and testing spaces
  • Assist with calibration, upkeep, and routine maintenance of lab equipment

Requirements:

  • Related discipline in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetic Science, Pharmaceutical Science
  • Prior experience in laboratory work or formulation development is an advantage
  • Familiarity with basic laboratory techniques, good documentation practices, and chemical safety procedures
  • Meticulous, organised, and proactive with strong attention to detail
  • Able to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
