Responsibilities Evaluate product structure and design to meet safety and functional requirements throughout the development process. Review current processes to drive continuous improvement and cross-functional project optimization. Drive incidents to ensure root causes are identified and countermeasures implemented with proper problem-solving tools. Initiate Q-Test plans for high-complexity elements to ensure risks are identified with DFM when production. Define test methods in development and ensure suppliers conduct tests accordingly. Conduct production pilots at vendors’ plants, evaluate and qualify manufacturing processes. Proactively learn and develop professionally, improve area of responsibility, and translate knowledge into tangible results. Support supplier quality management, including supplier quality audits and customer claim handling. Identify visual quality according to LEGO error definitions and VQG guidelines. Ensure a health and safe work environment for oneself and others. Approve/reject development testing methodologies; escalate quality risks in development to management; approve/reject novelty PP quality for mass production; declare critical equipment performance results for mass production use decisions. Verify and validate development performance according to development agreements. Contribute risk findings to project teams using quality tools (CTQs, FMEA, SPC, CPK, PPAP). Address development weaknesses and their impact on mass production stability; provide quality input for novelty development in early stages. Align PS testing with PS team and supplier teams; approve test diagrams for development physical testing and PP approval. Improve supplier development quality management and input to high-complexity projects (DFM/DFA). Coordinate with QID for D-FMEA and add local quality input; review development data to evaluate performance. Initiate P-FMEA to minimize development process risk and verify reliability of key measurements and testing in development. Engage in development problem solving. Qualifications Proven working experience in quality development or design engineering in plastic/injection moulding, with relevant education preferred. Strong quality mindset with a commitment to uncompromised quality. Expertise in plastic material, molding, or related processes; toy industry experience and knowledge of international toy safety standards (e.g., ASTM, EN71, ISO 8124) are advantageous. Knowledge in application of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, and MSA is required. Supplier quality development and management experience in Thailand is preferred. Project management skills, and strong oral and written communication abilities. Data science skills for performance analysis and risk indication. Fluent in reading/writing/speaking English; Mandarin is beneficial for stakeholder management. Decision-Making Assess the stability of quality in the development design. Verify the reliability of the supplier testing method. Close out quality-related technical queries (TQs). Accept/reject PPAP decisions.
