Responsibilities
Machine Setup & Operation:
Prepare and start up injection molding machines, ensuring they are set to the correct parameters for specific materials and molds.
Process Monitoring:
Monitor the molding process to ensure consistent product quality and production efficiency.
Quality Control:
Perform quality checks on produced parts using measuring devices like calipers and optical comparators to ensure they meet established standards and specifications.
Troubleshooting:
Identify and resolve issues with materials, equipment, or the production process that lead to defects or downtime.
Maintenance:
Conduct daily inspections and perform preventive maintenance on molding machines and related auxiliary equipment.
Documentation:
Keep detailed records of process changes, machine settings, and maintenance activities.
Collaboration:
Work with engineers, QA technicians, and other team members to address complex problems and improve processes.
Required Skills & Knowledge
Technical Skills:
Ability to operate and set up injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving:
Strong ability to identify, analyze, and resolve issues that occur during production.
Quality Control:
Proficiency with measuring tools (e.g., calipers, optical comparators) and a strong understanding of quality control principles.
Blueprint Reading:
Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints to understand part specifications.
Material Knowledge:
Understanding of different raw materials and how they affect the molding process.
Communication:
Excellent written and oral communication skills to effectively report issues and collaborate with team members.
Attention to Detail:
Meticulousness in setting up machines, monitoring processes, and performing quality inspections.
