Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Marine Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations department, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of marine projects, including Afloat Repairs, Lifesaving & Fire-Fighting Inspection, and offshore projects on Ships/Rigs in Singapore and overseas.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Assist the head of department in handling field service operations, technical, operational, and commercial matters.
  • Develop project quotations, obtain approvals, and prepare project costing for job completion settlements.
  • Issue material, tools, and equipment requisitions to the supply department for purchase and manage subcontractor purchases.
  • Coordinate repair teams and subcontractors for job execution, monitoring progress and addressing any issues that may arise.
  • Liaise with clients, including Shipowners, Offshore Operators, Shipyard Repair Managers, Agents, and others, to ensure project management success.
  • Manage company warehouse tools and equipment, ensuring they are calibrated regularly.
  • Hand over relevant contact information to logistic coordinators for transportation arrangements.
  • Ensure all documentation and certificates are ready for submission to clients upon job completion and maintain records in ERP systems.
  • Provide remote technical support to customers and answer their queries.

Requirements

  • Possess a Diploma in Marine Engineering or equivalent.
  • Have experience with marine machinery and equipment.
  • Preferably have past experience in Shipyards or working on board ships.
  • Experience in coordinating marine service work, especially afloat repairs, is an advantage.
  • Able to commit to working hours outside of regular office hours due to the nature of the job.
