Director – Head of Permanent Recruitment Are you passionate about driving excellence in claims management and building a high‐performing team? We’re looking for an experienced Claims Manager to lead our reinsurance claims practice — someone who thrives in a fast‐paced environment, enjoys solving complex claims, and values strong partnerships with stakeholders across the value chain. What You’ll Do Lead and coach a team handling facultative and treaty reinsurance claims , ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with delegated authorities. Review complex and contentious claims, providing sound recommendations on coverage, reserving, and settlement strategies . Interpret and apply policy wordings across multiple business lines (Property, Casualty, Engineering, Marine Cargo, etc.). Prepare and review internal and external claims reports for management and head office. Foster a culture of technical excellence , continuous learning, and collaboration within the team. Partner with brokers, cedants, insurers, reinsurers, and experts to resolve claims and strengthen long‐term relationships. Ensure all claims processes align with regulatory and audit requirements , maintaining the highest standards of governance and compliance. What You Bring A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, or related field. Professional qualifications such as ACII, ANZIIF, or CILA are highly valued. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in insurance or reinsurance claims, including team leadership exposure. Strong understanding of technical claims management, reinsurance principles, and market practices. Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate confidently with both internal and external stakeholders. Detail‐oriented, analytical, and solutions‐driven mindset.
