Senior Lecturer Position in Statistical Mechanics and Complex Systems

The School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS) at NTU offers multidisciplinary academic programs that provide students with a comprehensive and current education. We offer undergraduate training leading to BSc (Hons) and graduate training leading to MSc and PhD degrees.

The Division of Physics and Applied Physics (PAP) at SPMS invites applications for the position of Senior Lecturer in Statistical Mechanics and Complex Systems. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in Physics or a closely related field. Contributions to undergraduate curriculum development and teaching for SPMS's MSc coursework programs are expected.

The successful applicant will play a key role in teaching and research, with a focus on industry engagement and interdisciplinary applications. Responsibilities include:

  • Designing new courses for undergraduate, postgraduate, and MSc (coursework) programs, and contributing to curriculum development. Conducting lectures, tutorials, and assessing students through exams and coursework.
  • Conducting original research, supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students.
  • Performing academic outreach and administrative duties as assigned.
