Senior Lecturer in Statistical Mechanics and Complex Systems

The School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS) invites applications for the position of Senior Lecturer in Statistical Mechanics and Complex Systems.

  • We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our faculty as a Senior Lecturer in Statistical Mechanics and Complex Systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented academic to contribute to the development of our research-intensive programs and enhance our teaching and learning initiatives.

The successful applicant will be expected to design and deliver high-quality courses, conduct original research, supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students, and perform academic outreach and administrative duties as assigned.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Teach and assess students through lectures, tutorials, and coursework
    • Conduct original research and publish papers in top-tier journals
    • Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students
    • Perform academic outreach and administrative duties as assigned

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Physics or a closely related field
  • Proven track record of research and publication
  • Excellent teaching and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
