Faculty Position in Photonics and Nanophotonics

We seek a distinguished academic to establish a world-class research program in photonics, nanophotonics, or related areas.

The ideal candidate will be a future leader who can foster interaction between physicists, materials scientists, and engineers at NTU through ambitious research programs, and contribute to the school's education and research leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish a leading research program in photonics, nanophotonics, or related areas.
  • Enhance the school's visibility as an international leader in education and research.
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses and contribute to course development.
  • Collaborate with NTU faculty and researchers and foster cross-disciplinary partnerships (academic/industrial) in Singapore.
  • Undertake administrative and leadership roles as needed and contribute to service activities.
Qualifications:
  • PhD in physics, materials science, or a related discipline.
  • A strong record of research and publications in reputable peer-reviewed international journals.
  • A good track record of securing research grants.
  • Experience supervising students and interns in relevant fields.
  • Experience with cross-disciplinary research initiatives and collaboration.
