Job Description - AVP, UX Researcher, Group Design, Consumer Banking Group (WD72349)
What you'll be doing:
As a Core Researcher in the team, you will keep us on our toes. Remind us to look away from the comfort of our screens and back at the reality—where our customers live. You will keep asking, 'Why are we doing this again?' and not be satisfied with the answer, 'If we build it, they will come.'
Here's what your week might look like:
Identify when research is required and when best practices are the way to go, and communicate that to stakeholders.
Lead qualitative and quantitative research projects, experimenting with new methods and tools, leveraging GenAI to augment work processes and outputs.
Generate sharp and actionable insights that inspire colleagues to see through the eyes of our customers.
Build a strong community of practice around iterative research and design to support ongoing projects and initiatives.
Evangelize the importance of good design research and evolve the discipline to meet organizational needs.
Experience and skills we'd love you to have:
6 - 8 years of relevant experience as a UX researcher.
Experience leading research projects from small to large; straightforward to complex.
Hands-on involvement with the end-to-end design process.
Organized, methodical, and analytical — able to filter out the noise to frame the right problem to investigate.
Excellent grasp of qualitative and quantitative research methods applicable to the UX design process: concept testing, usability testing, card sorting, surveys, heuristic evaluations, and data analysis skills.
Polished facilitator able to command a room in workshops, presentations, or board room settings.
Empathic human being with interests in psychology, anthropology, human-computer interaction, cognitive science, and business.
Ability to make research fun, engaging partners, collaborators, and stakeholders.
Hands-on design experience in either UX Design or Service Design practices.
Experience in the fintech industry.
Experience working on enterprise solutions, products, and services.
Your team and career:
You will belong to two families: the CBG UX Design team and Research & Insights team. You will report to a UX Research Manager and work closely with people from Research & Insights, Group Design, and various business and product teams. You will be accountable for delivering research for key focus areas of the business.
