RF Engineer

An RF Engineer plays a crucial role in designing and developing microwave sensors and RF components for various biomedical applications. This involves utilizing electromagnetic simulation software to model and optimize antenna designs and microwave components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Design and develop microwave sensors and RF components that meet the required specifications.
  • Simulation and Modeling: Utilize commercial electromagnetic simulation software such as ANSYS HFSS, COMSOL Multiphysics, or CST Studio Suite to model and optimize antenna designs and microwave components.
  • Experimental Testing: Conduct experimental testing and validation to verify design specifications and performance metrics.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate RF solutions into biomedical device systems.
  • Analysis and Documentation: Analyze measurement data and provide technical recommendations for design improvements. Document design processes, test procedures, and results for regulatory compliance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, with emphasis on RF/Microwave Engineering, Electromagnetics, or related field.
  • Hands-on Experience: Hands-on experience designing antennas, microwave components, and RF circuits.
  • Experimental Techniques: Proven experience in experimental testing, measurement techniques, and design verification using Vector Network Analyzers (VNA), S-parameter characterization, spectrum analyzers, waveguide and/or anechoic chamber measurements.
  • Software Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency with commercial electromagnetic simulation software such as ANSYS HFSS, COMSOL Multiphysics, CST Studio Suite.
  • Additional Advantage: Experience with biomedical device development or medical technology applications is an added advantage.
