ST Engineering Satellite Systems Pte Ltd won the President's Technology Award in 2016, “For the organisations’ outstanding contributions to the advancement of Singapore’s satellite engineering and systems capabilities, with the successful development, launch and operation of TeLEOS-1, Singapore’s first commercial earth observation satellite”.

These satellites orbit at 7km every second; going round the Earth every 100 minutes, generating high resolution imagery of the Equatorial Belt. The huge amount of data generated from on board imagery sensors means that the team must design and deliver faster and more reliable wireless datalinks including, broadband datalinks, capable of operating across thousands of kilometres.

**Responsibilities**:

- Detailed design and analysis through simulation of sub-circuits such as: transitions, amplifiers, filters, couplers, mixers, PLL, signal detection, etc.
- Test and evaluate sub-circuits design
- Mechanical design consideration for efficient integration and optimization for manufacturability
- Development of testing methods and systems
- Supporting transition from prototype designs into manufacturing
- Product cost awareness & Interaction with vendors and customers, where appropriate
- Continuous search of new RF solutions and technologies
- Design, Test and Integration of RF Modules into Spacecraft
- Launch and Early Orbit Support of the Spacecraft

**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Good degree in electrical engineering with emphasis in RF or radio communication.
- Passion in Space, RF or radio design and communication.

**PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**:

- Understanding of RF components such as LNA, HPA, hybrid couplers, Wilkinson dividers, waveguide, circulators, and directional couplers.
- Knowledge of digital communication systems and modulation types
- Understanding of RF concepts such as AGC, noise figure, power amplifier, phase noise, PLL, oscillators/mixers.
- Some knowledge of ADS, CST, MATLAB, Python or equivalent tools for design, modelling and analysing of RF systems would be an advantage.
