Meat Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Meat Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in meat handling and preparation, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.

Job Summary:

The Meat Specialist will be responsible for driving sales through effective merchandising and product variety across all types of meat and seafood. They will work closely with cutters to ensure service quality, efficiency, and compliance with company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drives sales through effective merchandising and product variety across all types of meat and seafood.
  • Works closely with cutters to ensure service quality, efficiency, and compliance with company standards.
  • Supervises and mentors cutters to improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Manages inventory levels and ensures accurate records are maintained.
  • Maintains high standards of quality and safety throughout the department.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in meat handling or related field.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting product labels.
  • Ability to work efficiently and maintain high standards of quality and safety.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Service-oriented with strong teamwork and communication skills.
