Our client is a leading international brand in the FMCG space. With strong market presence in global cities, the company is now expanding into Southeast Asia — beginning with Singapore — and is looking for an entrepreneurial commercial leader to build and grow its regional footprint. About the Role This is a newly created position and the first commercial hire in the region. The Regional Business Development Manager/Director will be responsible for establishing and growing the brand's presence across Southeast Asia. The role requires a hands‐on operator with strong commercial instincts, capable of developing go‐to‐market strategies, opening sales channels, and building key partnerships across retail, hospitality, and distribution. Job Responsibilities Develop and execute the market entry and expansion strategy for Southeast Asia, starting with Singapore. Identify, evaluate, and secure partnerships with distributors, retailers, and key accounts in both on‐and off‐trade channels. Build and manage relationships with regional stakeholders including hospitality groups, lifestyle partners, and corporate clients. Drive brand visibility and availability through effective channel planning and activation. Conduct market analysis, competitor benchmarking, and identify opportunities to strengthen market positioning. Manage commercial budgets, pricing, and forecast planning to achieve sales and profitability targets. Oversee operational set‐up in partnership with internal and external stakeholders (logistics, regulatory, etc.) as the business scales. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field. Minimum 7–10 years of experience in commercial, business development, or sales roles within FMCG, lifestyle, or premium consumer goods sectors. Proven track record in opening new markets or building channel networks in Singapore or Southeast Asia. Experience in both on‐trade (hotels, restaurants, cafes) and off‐trade (retail, supermarkets, e‐commerce) environments preferred. Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
