Job Title:
Architectural Drawing Coordinator
About the Role:
This is a highly specialized position that requires strong technical skills and attention to detail. As an Architectural Drawing Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all architectural drawings are accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Acquire and manage all necessary project drawings throughout the entire project lifecycle.
* Submit architectural shop drawings and as-built drawings for consultant approval and track approvals, comments, and feedback.
* Ensure prompt clearance of any issues related to drawings; amend and resubmit drawings when necessary.
* Maintain and update the master construction drawing/shop drawing register and ensure distribution of the latest approved drawings to all relevant personnel.
* Liaise with architects, consultants, resident engineers, and subcontractors on all architectural and design-related matters.
* Coordinate and resolve all drawing-related queries via formal channels such as Requests for Information (RFI), Technical Queries (TQ), and Confirmations of Verbal Instructions (CVI).
* Plan, organize, and coordinate architectural finishing works with nominated and direct subcontractors.
* Ensure that all drawings conform to client requirements and statutory regulations.
* Coordinate construction drawings with structural steel, MEP, and other subcontractor shop drawings to avoid conflicts.
* Control the registration, issue, and distribution of drawing revisions, ensuring all parties are using the most up-to-date versions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Education: Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
* Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in managing architectural shop drawings in large-scale construction projects.
* Technical Skills:
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and other drawing software.
- Strong understanding of architectural and engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with document control systems (e.g., Aconex, Procore, etc.).
- Knowledge of local and international building codes and regulations.
* Soft Skills:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
