Senior Culinary Professional
A senior culinary professional is responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring food safety and quality.
This role requires strong culinary skills and knowledge of different cooking techniques. The successful candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure, possess good communication and interpersonal skills for supervising staff, and have attention to detail in terms of food preparation, presentation, and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation and Cooking: Preparing and cooking dishes according to recipes and standards.
- Food Safety and Hygiene: Ensuring adherence to food safety regulations, including proper storage and handling, and maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen.
- Inventory Management: Checking stock levels, ordering supplies, and managing inventory to avoid spoilage.
- Supervision: Supervising junior kitchen staff, potentially assisting in their development and training.
- Menu Planning: May participate in menu planning, determining portion sizes, and considering dietary needs.
- Quality Control: Ensuring that food presentation and quality meet established standards.
