Teacher Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teacher Assistant to join our team. As a key member of the educational support staff, you will play a vital role in maintaining the smooth operation of our school.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date data records, including stocktaking of teachers' resources and inventory.
  • Prepare teaching resources to be used in classrooms, ensuring that all materials are relevant and engaging for students.
  • Assist as a safety chaperone during daily arrival and dismissal of students, as well as supervise students during recess play and external Learning Journeys.
  • Provide administrative support during school events, such as Parent-Teacher Meetings and school concerts.

Key Requirements:

  • GCE N level or above
  • Two years experience working as a Teacher Assistant/Teacher Aide in a primary school

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 6:45am to 4pm, inclusive of 45min lunch break
  • Friday: 6:45am to 3:30pm, inclusive of 45min lunch break
  • Monday to Friday during MOE school holidays: 7am to 11am

Additional Information:

  • Required skills and qualifications include coaching, childcare, Microsoft Office, classroom management, lesson planning, teaching, concerts, inventory management, early childhood education, recruiting, mathematics, first aid, and administrative support
