Policy Strategist

This position resides within the Policy department, responsible for providing advice to senior leadership on labour policies and guiding positions and policies on the 4Ps (Protection, Placement, Progression, and Privileges) and enhancing workers' wages, welfare, and work prospects (3Ws).

You will collaborate with other Business Units (BUs) to formulate, analyse, and influence government policymaking with an impact on workers' livelihoods. Monitor economic outlook, gather ground feedback from unionised and non-unionised sectors, and prepare reports to inform internal stakeholders.

Work with Government agencies to lobby and tailor help schemes to meet workers' needs. Key areas of focus include energy policy, tax policy, price policy, leadership, science policy, public policy, budget policy, healthcare policy, fiscal policy, ICT policy, foreign policy, and policy writing.
Some key responsibilities may also include analysing the effectiveness of existing policies, identifying areas for improvement, and making recommendations for change. Additionally, you will be required to build strong relationships with colleagues across different departments and levels of the organisation.
