Job Title: Resident Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out site supervision under the direction of a Qualified Person, with full responsibility to that QP.
  • Liaise and conduct inspections with Main Contractors' Engineers/Supervisors.
  • Assist QPs on all structural works carried out according to approved drawings.
  • Monitor progress and assist QPs on structural inspections of all structural works according to approved drawings issued.
  • Check and monitor Structural and Architectural works according to contract drawings, specifications, approved shop drawings, and method statements.
  • Provide standing supervision for the construction of civil and structural works in accordance with Project specifications, construction drawings, and Building Control Act and Regulations.
  • Manage and control teams of site staff or Resident Technical Officers, ensuring satisfactory supervision and taking responsibility for their work and performance.
  • Oversight of all aspects related to project construction, including record-keeping of works, materials, equipment, attending meetings, submitting meeting minutes, and coordinating Contractor's works with consultants and external parties.

Requirements:

  • Must be registered with IES as a RE.
  • Hold a Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • Have at least 4 years of experience in site supervision of works.
  • Min 2 years of experience in infrastructure supervision.
  • Be conversant in local legislation, regulations, and codes.
  • Possess good coordination skills, self-motivation, proactivity, and teamwork capabilities.
