Senior Operations Manager (Supply Chain Management)
SPD Scientific offers a comprehensive range of laboratory consumables, test-kits reagents, biomedical and laboratory equipment, and a variety of microbiology culture media and diagnostic products. The company serves customers across industries such as F&B, pharmaceutical, academic and government research institutions, and healthcare, providing essential tools for research and discoveries. Our products are used in clinics, blood banks, and hospitals for research and analysis in microbiology, molecular biology, haematology, immunohistochemistry, and biochemistry. We emphasize high-quality service from pre-sales to post-sales support and strive for continuous improvement and safety compliance in all products and processes.
Responsibilities
To maximize supply visibility to all markets in the business unit and support stock planning, replenishment, and allocations to distributor markets in regional offices.
To ensure successful day-to-day supply planning, shipping operations, and fulfillment of jobs to achieve optimal efficiencies.
To be responsible for budgeting, cost control, and keeping the business financially on track by managing the supply chain and other resources to minimize costs and maximize results; include reporting and analysis comparing actuals to budgeted metrics.
To lead and provide guidance in operational functions to achieve deliverables and drive continuous improvement.
Stakeholder & Team Management
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to consolidate data sources for informed decision-making.
Perform comparative data analysis and report actual and budgeted metrics in Sales & Operations Planning meetings.
Provide strategic direction on business risk evaluation, regulatory compliance, and adherence.
Supervise, mentor, and motivate a team to achieve individual and team goals.
Operational Improvements
Review and optimize shipping and freight activities with cost-optimization measures.
Review operations processes and frameworks to achieve continual operational excellence and customer satisfaction; present actionable findings and recommendations to management.
Participate in periodic leadership meetings; develop strategies and programs to improve processes and competitive position.
Set deliverables for continuous improvements in supply availability with suppliers and indirect management of logistics service providers.
Qualifications
Degree in Supply Chain Management or an equivalent field
Hands-on experience with ERP software
Experience with Navision/Microsoft Dynamics is an added advantage
Good proficiency in written and spoken English
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Team player with good time-management, interpersonal, and communication skills
