The Position:
The MD, SMBV role will be responsible for the overall strategic leadership and growth across the CHVAC SMVB markets. The role includes end-to-end P&L management and owns the execution of long-term strategy and operational direction for all countries across all functions within the SMBV patch.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive strategic business plan for equipment sales and oversee service and aftermarket performance in the country.
Lead in-country strategic execution, identifying gaps and opportunities in product and solution offerings.
Identify topline and bottom-line opportunities to drive growth and profitability.
Establish strategy for a multi-functional team to meet business strategy goals.
Establish operational and financial objectives, managing and mitigating risks.
Drive people leadership by attracting and developing a strong talent pipeline.
Create an engaged workforce and winning culture based on performance.
Champion safety and drive a culture of safe service operations.
Act as the organization's representative to interface with key stakeholders.
Relationships:
Reports to: South Asia Pacific (SAP) Regional MD.
Direct and matrix reports: Country Leadership team including functions.
Peer Relationship: SAP MDs, SAP Aftermarket leader, Functional leaders for Strategy, Marketing, Finance, HR, Digital & Legal.
The Candidate:
Qualifications:
15+ years’ experience with at least 10 years in a P&L leadership role, handling a minimum of US$ 100 m in annual sales revenue.
Growth mindset and strategic leadership with a track record of developing & implementing initiatives.
Customer focus and ability to develop and maintain strong B2B relationships.
Strong understanding of industrial products/market with technology-based interventions.
Experience in building strong teams and connecting with purpose.
Adept at managing short-term and long-term commercial decisions.
Excellent professional track record, preferably in a multinational environment.
Ability to lead, collaborate, and work in matrix structures.
Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant discipline, MBA preferred.

Position will be based in either Singapore or Malaysia. Expected travel will be 30%.
