Lead MOCVD Engineer

We are seeking an experienced leader to head our MOCVD epigrowth engineering and development activities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MOCVD process development, operations management, and lean manufacturing tools. They will be responsible for developing and maintaining MOCVD epigrowth and related processes aligned to our technology and product roadmap.

Key Responsibilities:

  • MOCVD Process Engineering:
    • Operate MOCVD planetary reactor systems and perform InGaAsP/InAlGaAs/InP and AlGaAs/GaAs epitaxial growth and regrowth runs.
    • Improve MOCVD epigrowth process quality indices and systems, including line yield and statistical process control.
  • Process Development and Execution:
    • Develop, manage, and execute MOCVD epigrowth engineering and development activities for optoelectronics and photonics integrated circuits.
    • Spearhead the development of new MOCVD-related materials, such as substrates, growth sources, and scrubber solutions.
  • Quality and Cost Management:
    • Set up quality programs for epigrowth runs and establish process control and training procedures.
    • Track material usage and drive cost reductions.
  • Team Leadership and Communication:
    • Lead cross-functional teams, including R&D, Quality, and Operations.
    • Provide training and guidance to junior engineers.
    • Regularly report on process engineering and improvement updates.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in MOCVD epigrowth process development, operations management, and lean manufacturing tools.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of production and automation equipment, processes, designs, and functions.
  • Understanding of process validations and lean manufacturing tools.
