The job encompasses research and prototyping of leading-edge power system technologies, proof of concept designs, design simulations, patent applications, whitepapers, scholarly articles and technology presentation materials. This job requires deep working knowledge and engagement with multiple groups on the latest available technologies, research of new inventions, and collaboration with the company's Advanced Technology teams.**What a typical day looks like:*** Leading a team to responsible to identify new technologies which can be perfected for introduction to the company Advanced Technology teams for conversion to working platforms within the defined requirements.* Technologies of interest include Medium Voltage AC to High Voltage DC solid state transformer systems, isolated DC-DC converter topologies with high conversion ratios of between 50:1 and 100:1, advanced AC three phase input sections with harmonic control and good EMC performance, and other solutions to fundamental problems which exist in modern datacenters.* Work across functional teams to assess whether proposed technology can meet product specification, cost target, schedule, etc.* Provides technology leadership and makes decision on how to solve technical problems encountered the research and prototyping phases* Design support and issue resolution during the handoff period between the Singapore Research Centre and the Advanced Technology Teams.**Experience we’re looking to add to our team:*** Masters Degree or recent Ph.
