Job Description Posting Start Date: 21/07/2025Schemes of Service: Research Division: Engineering Employment Type: Fixed Term SIT collaborates closely with industry to provide applied research opportunities that develop relevant skills for industry demands. This role supports the Future Ship and System Design (FSSD) Programme, focusing on decarbonisation and digitalisation of Singapore’s maritime sector, particularly in developing planning methods for the electrification of harbour craft fleets. The Research Fellow will lead the development of a user-friendly GUI tool for stakeholders to interact with planning models and visualise simulation outputs. The role also involves coordinating between multiple projects and managing increasing datasets. Key Responsibilities Design and develop a GUI tool for model interaction and data visualization Collaborate with project teams to ensure technical accuracy Support integration of simulation outputs across projects Manage and analyze large operational datasets Apply expertise in power grid optimisation to improve planning models Engage with stakeholders to address technical needs Job Requirements Strong background in power systems, energy modelling, or grid optimisation Proficiency in GUI development (Python Dash, Tkinter, web frameworks)Experience with data-driven simulation and model validation in power grids (Ph.D. required)Ability to work independently and in teams in a dynamic environment Experience with maritime or transport electrification is a plus Additional Information Seniority level: Not Applicable Employment type: Full-time Job function: Research, Analyst, IT Industry: Higher Education #J-18808-Ljbffr
